Edward
Bach, MD (1886-1936), found, perfected, and put into use a system of medicine as simple, as it was effective.
He abandoned a successful medical practice and went into research. He was seeking herbs, which would heal, but from
which no ill effects would be derived.
Dr. Bach taught the basis of disease was to be found in disharmony between spiritual and mental aspects of a human
being.
This disharmony could be found whenever conflicting moods produced unhappiness, mental torture, fear, anger, grief,
lassitude, and resignation; thereby lowering the body's vitality and allowing disease to become present.
For this reason the 38 flower remedies were created. Each prescription is an elixir made according to what discomforts,
distresses, or ill health the person is experiencing mentally which affects overall health. The treatment will work on the
current mood the person is in.
The Bach remedies use the essences of the flowers of different herbs. They are still prepared today, as they were under
Dr. Bach's direction. It is a wonderful and more gentle alternative to the medicines we take today.
Todays medicines are changing. Many
pharmaceuticals are returning to more natural ingredients. Natural will reliably always be more people-friendly, and in most
instances, more pocketbook-friendly as well...
Healing proceeds from the depths
to the heights.
